Former Husker Sues NCAA + EA

Former Husker QB under Bill Callahan, Sam Keller, is suing Electronic Arts video game company and the NCAA in a class action complaint in San Diego Federal Court.
“With rare exception, virtually every real-life Division I football or basketball player in the NCAA has a corresponding player in Electronic Arts’ games with the same jersey number, and virtually identical height, weight, build and home state,” the lawsuit claims. “In addition, Electronic Arts often matches the player’s skin tone, hair color and often even a player’s hair style.” - huskerextra.com

The suit competes against the law that the NCAA can not commercialize student likenesses with names and info about these players.

The lawsuit also says that many people think that the NCAA is committed to the best interest of the athletes, but its true interest is maximizing its revenue at the expense of these student-athletes.

I believe that Keller has a strong case. If otheres can make money for having their images on these video games, why can't he?
